What Is Biomagnetic Therapy?

Biomagnetic Therapy is a terrain-based therapy that uses magnets to help balance the body’s pH.
When the pH of a tissue is balanced, it creates a healthy internal environment that supports normal cellular function and does not support pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi. In other words, instead of trying to “kill” something off, biomagnetism focuses on changing the conditions that allowed it to thrive in the first place.
This is why biomagnetic therapy is considered a terrain therapy. We’re not chasing symptoms or fighting the body. We’re working with the body to restore balance so it can regulate, repair, and protect itself.
Practically speaking, biomagnetic therapy uses pairs of medium-intensity magnets placed on specific areas of the body. These placements help gently shift the pH of targeted tissues back toward a healthy range. As the terrain improves, inflammation decreases, circulation improves, the nervous system settles, and the body can begin to function more efficiently.
An easy way to describe biomagnetism is that it's similar to acupuncture, but instead of needles, magnets are used, and instead of focusing solely on meridians, we’re addressing the body’s entire internal environment.
Why pH Matters More Than Most People Realize
Pathogens don’t randomly take up residence in the body. They thrive in environments that are out of balance (overly acidic or overly alkaline), inflamed, stagnant, or stressed. When tissue pH is out of balance, it creates the perfect conditions for dysfunction.
Biomagnetic therapy helps bring those tissues back into balance. When the environment changes, the body no longer has to work as hard to compensate, and symptoms often improve. This is why biomagnetism can support such a wide range of issues. We’re not treating individual diagnoses; we’re improving the terrain that underlies them.
How This Fits With the Bigger Picture
This is also why biomagnetic therapy works so well alongside other therapies. It doesn’t override the body or force a change. It creates the conditions that allow other supports, such as nutrition, rest, medication, movement, and emotional work, to work more effectively. Think of it as removing friction from the system.
A Simple Way to Think About It
If you want an easy analogy, here’s the one I use most often. We’ve all had the experience of working on a computer that starts running slowly and glitching. Eventually, you realize you have way too many windows open. As you close them, everything starts running smoothly again.
That’s what biomagnetic therapy does. Those “open windows” might be infections, toxins, chronic stress, trauma, inflammation, or unprocessed emotions. Each biomagnetic session helps close one of those windows, reducing the overall load on the system so the body can function the way it’s meant to.
How I Came to Trust Biomagnetic Therapy
I didn’t discover biomagnetism because it was trendy. I found it because I was desperate.
In my mid-20s, I experienced a major health crisis. I was hospitalized twice with rhabdomyolysis and went on to develop chronic lymphedema in my left arm, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, Hashimoto’s, POTS, and Raynaud’s disease. I went from running 20 miles a week and lifting weights four times a week… to not being able to walk around the block. At my worst, I was losing my ability to walk.
I was seeing top neuromuscular specialists. My case was sent to the NIH and Columbia University. No one could tell me what was happening or how to fix it.
On a friend's recommendation, I tried biomagnetic therapy, and it changed my life.
After my very first session, I knew something major had shifted. It felt like my body finally had a way to communicate what it had been trying to say all along. Through muscle testing, it was finally being heard.
Over a year and a half of regular biomagnetic sessions, I completely recovered. I don’t carry a single one of the diagnoses I once had. Biomagnetism gave me my life back, and I knew immediately that more people needed access to this work.
Bringing it All Together
Biomagnetic therapy isn’t about fighting the body or chasing symptoms. It’s about creating the right internal conditions so the body can do what it already knows how to do: to heal itself.
By gently influencing tissue pH and improving the internal environment, biomagnetism creates space for the body to respond more efficiently to everything else you’re doing to support your health. That’s why it integrates so well with other therapies and why its effects ripple outward, supporting far more than a single symptom or diagnosis.
Whether you’re brand new to biomagnetism or just beginning to understand how it works, the most important thing to know is this: healing doesn’t have to be aggressive or overwhelming. Sometimes, the biggest shifts happen when we stop fighting the body and start supporting it.
