Biomagnetism, also known as Biomagnetic Therapy or Biomagnetic Pair Therapy, is a powerful holistic therapy that uses medium-intensity magnets (1,000+ gauss) to support the body’s natural ability to heal.

When there's too much of one, the body becomes either too acidic or too alkaline—which can disrupt normal function. Magnets influence these charged particles through electromagnetic interaction. By placing magnets with opposite polarities on specific areas of the body, Biomagnetism helps gently guide these ions back into balance. In simple terms: like charges repel. A magnet placed over an acidic area can help move excess hydrogen ions toward an alkaline area, where they naturally neutralize each other by forming water (H₂O).

A Herxheimer Reaction—also known as a detox reaction or “herxing”—can happen when pathogens begin to die off and release toxins into the system faster than the body can eliminate them. This is actually a sign that your body is responding to the therapy and working to restore balance.


You might feel tired, achy, emotional, or experience mild flu-like symptoms. These sensations are usually short-lived and can be supported by hydration, rest, gentle movement, and detox-supportive tools like castor oil packs, Epsom salt baths, or lymphatic massage. Not everyone experiences a detox reaction, but if you do, know that it’s temporary and often a sign that healing is already underway.

It’s safe to use in combination with medications, chemotherapy, radiation, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and more. Rather than interfering, Biomagnetism supports your body’s internal balance, which may enhance your response to other forms of care.

There’s no special prep needed before your session. Just arrive well-hydrated, as it helps with muscle testing and supports your body’s natural balance. After your session, we recommend continuing to hydrate well to help your body flush anything that’s been shifted or released. Biomagnetism is safe and beneficial for most people including children, regardless of health condition. However, if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker, insulin pump, or other electromagnetic implant, please speak with your therapist before beginning to ensure Biomagnetism is appropriate for you.
